The Coffee County School System will reopen for students on Monday, October 21. Schools have been closed since September 25, when a two-day closure was announced as Hurricane Helene approached. Schools have remained closed due to the widespread destruction and power outages that the storm left behind. The George Washington Carver Freshman Campus sustained significant damage during the hurricane and although repairs are underway, the school is not ready to open at this time. While repairs continue at GWCFC, our 9th grade students will report to Coffee Middle School.
