The Coffee County School System is composed of eight elementary schools (pre-K through grade 5), one middle school (grades six through eight), a ninth-grade academy, one comprehensive high school (grades ten through twelve), one separate college and career academy (grades nine through twelve) and one alternative program (grades six through twelve). The school system is governed by a five-member board of education elected for a four-year term on a non-partisan basis. The school superintendent is appointed by the board and serves as the chief executive officer. The system serves approximately 7,600 students in Pre-K through 12th grade.

Coffee Baseball Volunteers at Night to Shine

DOUGLAS, GA – The Coffee Baseball Varsity Team stepped off the field and into the community this past Friday night as they volunteered at Night to Shine, a prom experience for individuals with special needs organized by the Tim Tebow Foundation and hosted locally by First Baptist Church & GracePointe Church. This initiative was part of a new community service program implemented by Head Coach Scott Grove, designed to instill leadership, teamwork, and a spirit of giving back among his varsity players.

Pre-K Registration Set for March 4 & 5

Pre-K Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be held on March 4 and 5 at the Coffee Middle School Auditorium from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. • Students who will be attending Ambrose, Indian Creek, Nicholls and Satilla Elementary Schools will register on Tuesday, March 4. • Students who will be attending Broxton, Eastside, West Green and Westside Elementary Schools will register on Wednesday, March 5. • Registration packets will be available at all elementary schools, the Central Office and the Enrollment Center.

2025-2026 Calendar Approved

The school year calendar for 2025-2026 was approved by the Coffee County Board of Education at its January meeting today. The school year will begin on Monday, August 4 and end on Friday, May 22. The Class of 2026 will graduate on Saturday, May 23!
